Cassettes from Exile

Short Film - Director
Overview
Cassettes from Exile follows the story of Dennis Maxwell and his family when they faced exile from Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile and their separation years later from persecution in other countries and how they tried to mantain their relationship through cassettes.
This short film was made as my thesis project to earn my Master of Fine Arts in animation from the Savannah College of Arts and Design. The main idea of the short was to explore different design styles throughout the story development, to show how the characters viewed the world around them and their memories and how these changed as they grew older.

Early concept for the film
